Vocal Characterization

Howdy! My name is Emmalie Hall, and I'm a Visualization major at Texas A&M University. I have a passion for sound design, and a particular interest in the way voice is used as a tool for characterization.

In character creation, voice actors are typically presented with a character design and expected to formulate a voice that embodies that image. The surveys below rely on flipping that art model on its head, presenting an artist like yourself with a voice clip and observing the resulting images.
